I was going through one of my favorite blogs (Yep! I love to read what others write) and I saw an article about an alleged Genocide in Borno State. Apparently, the pictures were posted on the Facebook page of a popular Muslim Cleric and he claims Vigilante Groups would go into villages and round up the young men. Take them to fields, kill and bury them all.
I'm confused about a lot of things!
Firstly, this is hapening in Naija? Our very own land? Where is the media? Why is it being mentioned by just one person on Facebook? What happened to investigative journalism?
From the pictures, I understand this is being done to "curb" the growth and continuity of Boko Haram! Please how do you heal a broken branch by pulling out the tree? What proof can they give to show that these youngsters were a part of or contemplating to be a part of the dreaded sect?
And what effort has the Police taken to check the authenticity of the story?
*sigh* So many things are wrong with this nation and it seems they are all rearing their heads at the same time!
Which do we tackle?
Nyanya, Kano, or Jos Bomb Blasts???
Borno mass killings???
Borno Alleged Genocide???
NIS victims???
Kidnapped Chibok girls???
Stella Oduah???
Corruption and Corrupt Leaders???
I am overwhelmed with all that is going on. We need to WAKE UP!!!!
